Ball Pin Technology Process
The processing process of the ball pin is: round steel blanking→ hardening and tempering→ drilling→ grinding→ thread rolling→ induction heating and hardening→ tempering. 
ROCHO induction ball pin hardening system adopts medium frequency induction heating power supply, water cooling hardening process, to improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of ball head pins.
Ball Pin Hardening Capacity
For the different positions of the ball pin models, the hardening depth and process are also different. For example, the effective hardening for truck ball pins is generally 2-3mm, and the hardening position required to be harden as a whole. For the surface treatment of the car ball pin, only hardening the ball head can satisfy its wear resistance and tensile strength.
Ball Pin Hardening System
The ball pin hardening system mainly includes: ball pin hardening machine tool, IGBT high frequency power supply, hardening liquid circulating cooling system, pure water cooling circulating system, PLC electrical control system, chiller, etc.
The hardening system adopts an integral welded lathe bed, which has good rigidity, thermal stability and vibration resistance. Manual loading and unloading, the positioning, clamping, and other operations and processing of the parts are automatically controlled by the machine tool;
Ball pin hardening system, matching high frequency induction heating power supply, which has multiple protection functions including over-current protection, water shortage protection, over-heat protection, over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, phase failure protection and other alarm functions. It will automatically alarm in case of faults, greatly improving the reliability of the equipment.
The induction coil is a profiling inductor made according to the size of the ball head pin. After reaching the hardening temperature, the induction coil will spray water and start to quench the work parts at the same time. This process ensure the hardening temperature and the uniformity of the work part, and improve the hardness and wear resistance of the ball pin.
The cooling system adopts soft water circulation cooling process, which can provide low-pressure cooling for the induction heating power supply, and high-pressure cooling for the hardening system and induction coil. Each cooling circuit is equipped with temperature, pressure and flow monitoring and protection system.
PLC Control System
The ball pin hardening control system can choose Siemens PLC touch screen and other control systems available, allowing operators to use touch screen to set various process parameters (including voltage, current, heating time, cooling time, heating power, frequency, spray flow, etc. ) , with high control accuracy and automaticity.
